Synopsis: RRP Defense Limited (formerly Euro Asia Exports Limited) has secured a significant purchase order worth Rs. 29,83,81,230 plus GST from Bharat Electronics Limited’s Machilipatnam Unit for the supply of specialised optical lens components, with phased deliveries scheduled through December 2026.
RRP Defense Limited, formerly known as Euro Asia Exports Limited, has emerged as a notable name in India’s growing defence supply chain ecosystem after securing a meaningful purchase order from one of the country’s most prominent defence public sector undertakings. In a regulatory filing submitted to BSE Limited on May 20, 2026, the company disclosed receipt of a purchase order from Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Machilipatnam Unit a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence for the supply of optical lens components.
The total consideration for this purchase order stands at Rs. 29,83,81,230 (approx Rs. 29.84 crores) plus applicable GST, making it a materially significant contract for a company of RRP Defense’s scale.
The nature of the supply involves two precision optical components GE SF Lens 1 (Ø50X6.0) and GE SF Lens 2 (Ø26X4.5). These are highly specialised optical elements typically used in electro-optical systems, sighting equipment, and advanced surveillance or targeting platforms all of which fall squarely within BEL’s core defence electronics product portfolio.
The delivery structure has been carefully phased. The company is required to first supply sample quantities for evaluation and quality approval before commencing bulk deliveries. Following successful sample clearance, the first lot of supplies is scheduled for delivery within 8 to 10 weeks from the date of receipt of the purchase order. Thereafter, phased monthly deliveries will follow, extending all the way through December 2026 giving the contract an operational tenure spanning the better part of the financial year FY2026-27.
This order is a domestic one, placed by a domestic government entity, and the filing confirms that neither the promoters nor any group companies have any interest in BEL, ensuring there is no related-party dimension to this transaction. The company has disclosed all relevant details as required under the SEBI circular dated November 11, 2024.
From a broader strategic standpoint, this order represents a significant milestone for RRP Defense. The company rebranded from Euro Asia Exports Limited to RRP Defense Limited, clearly signalling its strategic pivot toward the defence and precision optics sector.
Winning a contract from BEL which itself is a Navratna PSU with an order book exceeding Rs. 73,882 crores as of April 2026 validates RRP Defense’s technical capabilities and positions it as a credible vendor in India’s defence supply chain. India’s defence indigenisation push under the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” initiative has opened significant opportunities for precision component manufacturers, and this order suggests RRP Defense is well-positioned to capitalise on this tailwind.
Shares of RRP Defense Ltd slipped 1% to Rs. 743.55 and remained locked near the lower circuit amid extremely low trading volumes and continued surveillance restrictions under ASM Stage 1. The stock has seen massive volatility over the past year, rallying from a 52-week low of Rs. 94.31 to a high of Rs. 984.40, pushing valuations to stretched levels with a sky-high P/E of 470.6. Investor sentiment also remained cautious after the recent resignation of the company’s statutory auditors, despite the firm announcing a new order win earlier this week.
