Share Price Movement 

In Monday’s trading session, Atul Auto’s share price was up by 2.3 percent to the day’s high of Rs. 518.85. The stock reiterated from the day’s high and was trading at Rs. 514 which is 1.38 percent higher from the previous close of Rs. 507 per share. In the past year, the stock has had a negative return of around 6 percent and has underperformed the Nifty Index. 

What Happened 

The company’s stock surged after they reported monthly reports for January 2025. The Domestic and Export part, three-wheeler IC engine vehicles for Jan 2025 volume stood at 2,028 units compared to 1,734 units of Jan 2024 which is an increase of 16.96 percent year on year. In the Electric Vehicle L3 segment, there was a 6.82 percent decline from 557 units in Jan 2024 to 519 units in Jan 2025. Further, in the Electric Vehicle L5 segment, there was an increase of 922.73 percent year on year from 22 units in Jan 2024 to 225 units in Jan 2025. The EV L5 segment indicates the sales made by its subsidiary Atul Greentech Private Limited. 

Financials 

In its latest filing for the quarter ending September 2024, the company reported an 18.59 percent increase in revenue, reaching Rs.181.65 crore compared to Rs.153.17 crore in Q2FY24. During the same period, net profit declined to Rs.4.57 crore in Q2FY25, compared to Rs.7.13 crore in Q2FY24. 

Market Share 

The company has a market share of around 4 percent in the domestic market share in the three-wheeler industry and makes up to a 3 percent share in domestic sales and exports as per CRISIL Ratings. 

Ace Investor Stake 

As of December 2024, the Ace Investor Vijay Kedia holds a stake of around 18.20 percent and a 2.71 percent stake through Kedia Securities Private Limited in the company.
