Hindustan Copper Shares Extend Gains As Shares Hit Nearly 16-Year High

Shares of Hindustan Copper Ltd. hit climbed over 4%, almost touching a 16-year high of Rs 570. This marks the continuation of a strong bullish trend that has persisted for the past seven sessions.

On Friday, the stock closed at Rs 541.90 on the National Stock Exchange and on the BSE, while it opened at a high on Monday at Rs 554.95.

The rally in Hindustan Copper is fueled by the metal having a very strong 2025 (biggest annual jump since around 2009), with prices pushing above $12,000/tonne at points.

The shares of Waaree Energies fell as much as 5% to hit over six-month low on Monday, the lowest level since June 20. It pared losses to trade 4.30% lower at Rs 2,743 apiece, as of 10:27 a.m. This compares to a 0.15% advance in the NSE Nifty 50 Index.

It has fallen 2.87% in the last 12 months. Total traded volume so far in the day stood at 1.33 times its 30-day average. The relative strength index was at 62.33.

The stock is currently trading at Rs 987, accounting for a fall of 1.5%. The pressure in HDFC Bank has weighed heavily on the Nifty 50, contributing 53 points negatively.

Jefferies highlights that ONGC has not received dividends worth more than $500 million from its participation in the San Cristobal field, largely due to sanctions and payment restrictions. India’s office real estate investment trusts are entering what Morgan Stanley calls a new phase of low-risk, compounding returns. This is driven by strong leasing momentum, easing interest rates, and sustained demand from global capability centres (GCCs).

In a new research note, the brokerage said FY25 marked a clear inflection point for listed office REITs, with distribution per unit (DPU) growth of around 10% year-on-year — the first such acceleration since their listing.

Morgan Stanley expects DPU to compound at roughly 10% annually over the next three years, supported by higher occupancies, new leasable area additions, and the full transmission of rate cuts.
