What Happened

Concord Control Systems Limited announced that its associate company, Progota India Pvt. Ltd., has received the RDSO Technical Prototype Clearance for Kavach 4.0, the latest version of the Indian Railways indigenous Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system. 

This clearance enables Progota to execute its ongoing trial order from South Central Railway and positions it as a Developmental Vendor eligible to participate in all upcoming Kavach 4.0 tenders across Indian Railways. Kavach 4.0 represents a major step forward in India’s rail safety framework, aimed at preventing train collisions, improving operational reliability, and enabling seamless locomotive-to-trackside communication. The RDSO’s endorsement validates Progota’s technological expertise and adherence to stringent Railway Ministry standards.

Mr. Nitin Jain, Joint Managing Director of Concord Control Systems, said that getting RDSO’s approval for Kavach 4.0 is a big achievement for the company. He added that this milestone shows their support for the Indian government’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ mission by creating homegrown, advanced rail safety technology. With this clearance, Progota India can now help in the nationwide rollout of Kavach 4.0, focusing on innovation, partnerships, and safer railway systems for the future.
