Synopsis: Adding to a string of KAVACH contract wins since January 2026, Quadrant Future Tek has received a Letter of Acceptance from Patiala Locomotive Works for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Onboard KAVACH Loco Equipment Ver-4.0 worth Rs. 20.19 crore; with execution phased across three tranches through April 2027, the order adds near-term revenue visibility against a backdrop of deteriorating quarterly margins.
A Punjab-based specialty cable and train signalling company came into focus on April 15, 2026, after disclosing a fresh order win from a key Indian Railways production unit. The Letter of Acceptance, received from Patiala Locomotive Works on the same date, covers supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Onboard KAVACH Loco Equipment Ver-4.0 with warranty.
With a market capitalisation of Rs. 1,264.4 crore, the shares of Quadrant Future Tek Limited were trading at Rs.316.10 per share, up 1.18 percent from its previous close of Rs.312.40.
The contract is valued at Rs. 20,19,27,500 and is to be executed in three tranches, with the final delivery scheduled on or before April 15, 2027. Patiala Locomotive Works, the awarding entity, is a domestic production unit of Indian Railways. The company has confirmed that no promoter or promoter group entity holds any interest in PLW, and the contract is concluded at arm’s length.
In the context of Quadrant’s recent order flow, this PLW contract is comparatively small. In January 2026 alone, the company disclosed a Chittaranjan Locomotive Works order worth Rs. 287.83 crore for 353 KAVACH Ver-4.0 units and an Integral Coach Factory contract for 192 units at Rs. 230.42 crore.
The filing from one day prior on the announcements page references a Banaras Locomotive Works order for 223 units worth Rs. 181.57 crore. Against this backdrop, the PLW award reads more as continued program-level acceptance across multiple Indian Railways production units than as a material standalone event. That spread across workshops is strategically notable.
