V.L. Infraprojects’ shares climbed sharply after the company secured a sizable domestic work order for water infrastructure development in Madhya Pradesh. The strong order inflow adds to its healthy project pipeline and supports revenue visibility for the medium term.
The shares of this infrastructure company jumped upto 6 percent in Thursday’s trade after securing a fresh government project award for the augmentation of the water supply system.
V.L. Infraprojects Limited, with a market capitalisation of Rs. 62.14 crore, opened at Rs. 41.50 against the previous close of Rs. 39.40 and touched an intraday high of Rs. 41.50, marking a rise of 5.33 percent.
What’s the News?
The company has received a work order worth Rs. 21.01 crore, excluding GST, from Nagar Parisad Keolari. The project involves the augmentation of the water supply system for Keolari Town under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme. This domestic order will be executed over a period of 24 months.
Financial Snapshot
For the half-year ended March 2025 compared to the half-year ended September 2024, sales rose from Rs. 52 crore to Rs. 69 crore, up 32.69 percent. Operating profit increased from Rs. 6 crore to Rs. 7 crore, up 16.67 percent. Profit before tax remained steady at Rs. 5 crore. Net profit fell from Rs. 4 crore to Rs. 3 crore, down 25 percent.
For the half-year ended March 2025 compared to the half-year ended March 2024, sales grew from Rs. 51 crore to Rs. 69 crore, up 35.29 percent. Operating profit rose from Rs. 5 crore to Rs. 7 crore, up 40 percent. Profit before tax increased from Rs. 4 crore to Rs. 5 crore, up 25 percent, while net profit remained unchanged at Rs. 3 crore.
According to Crisil Ratings, “The key promoter, Rajagopal Reddy Annam Reddy, has more than two decades of experience in the construction industry. This has given him an understanding of the market dynamics and enabled him to establish relationships with suppliers and customers.
The company has an order book of Rs. 220 crore as of June 2025, to be executed over the next 12–24 months. Its healthy order book provides significant revenue visibility over the medium term.”
