“The monorail broke down around 6:15 p.m. between Chembur and Bhakti Park. In the emergency situation, passengers immediately contacted the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s helpline number 1916 for assistance. Responding promptly, the Mumbai Fire Brigade rushed to the spot and began rescue operations with the help of three snorkel vehicles.”, BMC stated.

In the last four days pumping stations across the city have pumped out a total of 1,645.155 crore litres of water, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
