During Monday’s trading session, shares of a micro-cap company involved in the business of civil construction works surged nearly 6 percent on BSE, after the company’s promoter and managing director (MD) acquired shares and increased its stake to 65.77 percent.
With a market cap of Rs. 162.5 crores, shares of Udayshivakumar Infra Limited were trading in the green at Rs. 29.35 on BSE, up by over 4 percent, compared to its previous closing price of Rs. 28.18. The stock has delivered negative returns of over 30 percent in one year, but has gained by around 45 percent in the last one month.

As per the latest disclosures with the stock exchanges, Udayshivakumar, Promoter and Managing Director of Udayshivakumar Infra Limited, has bought an additional 1,17,371 equity shares in the company for Rs. 32.82 lakhs, through an open market purchase on NSE.
Following this purchase, his total shareholding has increased to 3,64,10,940 equity shares, raising his stake from 65.56 percent (3,62,93,569 shares) to 65.77 percent of the company’s total paid-up share capital.

Udayshivakumar Infra reported a marginal growth in consolidated revenue from operations of around 6 percent, from Rs. 44.76 crores in Q3 FY25 to Rs. 47.4 crores in Q3 FY26. However, it reported a net loss of Rs. 4.7 crores from a profit of Rs. 1.5 crores.
The company seems to have been doing well on the execution side as the inventory days declined to 365 from 623, reflecting a reduction from the previous year’s peak, though levels remained significantly higher compared to earlier periods.
Udayshivakumar Infra Limited is engaged in the business of civil construction works from the state government, central government and government civic bodies and corporations.
The company undertake construction of roads including national highways, state highways, district roads under PM’s Smart City Mission projects, smart roads under Municipal Corporations, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and local area roads in various taluka places etc., in Karnataka, along with the construction of bridges across major and minor rivers, railway over bridges (ROB), major and minor irrigation and canal projects, and industrial areas.
