Synopsis: Ganesh Infraworld Limited has successfully completed its acquisition of a 39.78% equity stake in Kandoi Transport Limited. Simultaneously, the company has appointed its top leadership to Kandoi’s board to drive strategic integration.

Kolkata-based EPC specialist Ganesh Infraworld Limited has reached a major strategic milestone by finalizing the acquisition of 1,73,700 equity shares in Kandoi Transport Limited. The deal, first announced in March, gives Ganesh Infraworld a 39.78% stake in the unlisted transport firm for a total consideration of approximately ₹98.83 crores. This transition effectively turns Kandoi Transport into an associate entity, allowing Ganesh Infraworld to vertically integrate logistics into its core infrastructure operations.

In a move to ensure hands-on management, Ganesh Infraworld’s Managing Director, Vibhoar Agrawal, and Non-Executive Director, Rachita Agrawal, were appointed as Executive Directors on Kandoi’s board effective March 31, 2026. This leadership overlap signals a shift toward active operational synergy between infrastructure construction and logistics.

Ganesh Infraworld stock has witnessed intraday volatility as its stock has experienced fluctuations during the morning session on April 2, 2026. Despite the positive news of the acquisition, its stock is currently trading at ₹72.50 on NSE as the broader markets are undergoing a sharp correction.  The stock has witnessed a sharp decline from its 52-week high of ₹279.80, indicating its volatile journey over the last year for the infrastructure sector as a whole.

Despite its current trading at multi-year lows, analysts point out that investors need to monitor the acquisition funding mix and its impact on its credit profile as we begin FY 2026-27.

Company Overview

Ganesh Infraworld Limited, incorporated in 2017, is an infrastructure company with expertise in executing civil, road, rail, and water-related projects.  The company, based in Salt Lake, Kolkata, has shown explosive growth as its revenue has increased from ₹51 crore in FY24 to ₹538.2 crore in FY25.

With its foray into the transport and logistics ecosystem through its acquisition of Kandoi Transport, Ganesh Infraworld is now well-positioned to become a vertically integrated company with capabilities to execute both large-scale construction activities and the complex logistics required for infrastructure projects at the national level.
