Synopsis: Expo Engineering and Projects Limited has received a work order worth Rs. 3.74 crore from Reliance Industries Limited’s Jamnagar site for the supply of 24 hoppers destined for a glass factory, with delivery scheduled by August 27, 2026.
A Mumbai-based process plant equipment manufacturer came into focus after disclosing on April 21, 2026 that it had received a work order from Reliance Industries Limited’s Jamnagar site on April 20. The order covers the supply of 24 hoppers for a glass factory at the Jamnagar facility, with a total value of Rs. 3,74,16,384 (approx Rs. 3.74 crore) to be executed by August 27, 2026.
With a market capitalisation of Rs. 162.77 crore, the shares of Expo Engineering and Projects Limited were trading at Rs.71.40, up 3.34 percent from its previous close of Rs.69.09. The stock is trading at a P/E of 41.03.
The work order covers custom fabrication and supply of 24 hopper units for the glass manufacturing section at Reliance Industries’ Jamnagar complex one of the world’s largest integrated petrochemical and manufacturing sites.
Hoppers are bulk material handling vessels used in glass production to feed raw materials into furnaces, and their fabrication typically requires certified pressure vessel or structural fabrication capability. The order has been categorised as a domestic, arm’s-length transaction with no related-party involvement.
At Rs. 3.74 crore, the order is sized at roughly 20 to 25 percent of the company’s typical quarterly revenue run-rate; a meaningful addition given that Expo Engineering’s trailing nine-month (April to December 2025) operating profit was Rs. 5.44 crore on revenue of Rs. 50.95 crore.
For a company of this scale, a single order from RIL carries client-quality significance beyond the invoice value: repeat engagements with tier-1 industrial clients are the primary route through which small-cap fabricators build reference case credibility for larger contract pursuits.
