Ola Electric Mobility Ltd shares hit 5% upper circuit as it will launch a new product in the energy space on 16 October , 2025,, via a premiere on its official social media handles.
India’s Largest Pure-Play EV company came into the limelight when the company announced its launch of a new product, which will be in the energy space , benefitting them due to the already existing infrastructure it has already developed in the past.
With a market cap of Rs 23,192 Crore , the shares of Ola Electric Mobility Ltd gained 5% making a high of Rs 52.75 compared to its previous day closing of Rs 50.24.
About the new product launch
Ola Electric Mobility Ltds Promoter and CMD- Mr.Bhavish Agarwal has tweeted about the launch by stating “Launching our first non-vehicle product this Diwali! Power has always been a utility, but now it becomes Deep Tech – intelligent, portable, and personal”.
Industry sources state that the announcement could involve Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for homes and businesses, leveraging Ola’s existing 4680 Bharat Cell technology from its Tamil Nadu Gigafactory.
This tweet gave the first hint about the launch, which was followed by the official announcement of the company in its filings. The product will be called “Ola shakti”, which will launch on 16 October 2025 at 10.00 am. If OLA Ltd is actually entering this business, it would benefit from the existing infrastructure and would surpass the entry barriers
Financials and others
Ola Electric Mobility Ltd has achieved sales of Rs. 828 crore in Q1 FY26, which has reduced around 50% compared to Rs 1,644 crore in Q1 FY25. The company has still not turned profitable, with a loss of about Rs 428 crore in Q1 FY26, which has increased from a loss of Rs 347 crore in Q1 FY25.
Founded in 2017, Ola Electric Mobility Limited is an electric vehicle company that primarily manufactures electric vehicles and core components for electric vehicles. These components include battery packs, motors, and vehicle frames, all produced at the Ola Futurefactory.
As of September 2025 sales Ola Electric Ltd holds a 12.7 percent market share with 12,223 units being sold. Even though it is making good sales, the numbers are decreasing with loss of market share, due to the increase in customer complaints, bad reviews and more.
