Synopsis:
Apollo Micro Systems Ltd.  has been declared as the lowest bidder by DRDO and Defence Public Sector Undertakings for a total worth of about Rs 39 crore and also has been approved for Transfer of Technology (ToT) of Mechatronic Fuze for Grenade by DRDO.  

The shares of this pioneer in design, development, assembly and testing of electronic and electro mechanical solutions company was in the news due to the successful bidding of two orders one from DRDO and the other from defence public sector undertaking.

With a market cap of around Rs 9,787 Crore this small cap defense stock gained 2% and made a high of Rs. 301.75 compared to its previous day closing price of Rs 291.15. The shares made a 52 week high of Rs 354.7 being around 21% away from its high.

About the two biddings and more

There were two announcements made by the company, the first was of the  Lowest Bidder Status saying that the Company has been declared as the lowest bidder by DRDO for orders worth Rs 4.3 crore   and has also been declared as the Lowest Bidder for orders worth Rs 34.97 crore by Defence Public Sector Undertakings. 

Coming to the second work order it involves the Transfer of Technology(ToT) of Mechatronic Fuze for Grenade approved  by DRDO. These two work orders increase the revenue and future potential of the company.

Financials and more

The sales for the company stood at Rs 91 crore in Q1 FY25 which grew to Rs 134 crore in Q1 FY26 increasing by about 46.47%.Similarly the net profit also grew by 125% when we compare Q1 FY25 net profit of Rs 8 crore to Rs 18 crore in Q1 FY26.
