SYNOPSIS:
Rolls-Royce and Bharat Forge have extended partnership to manufacture fan blades for the Pearl 700 and 10X engines, strengthening local aerospace capabilities and expanding Rolls-Royce’s India supply chain by 2030.

With a market cap of Rs. 60,430.4 crores, shares of Bharat Forge Limited closed in the green at Rs. 1,264 on BSE, up by around 2.5 percent, as against its previous closing price of Rs. 1,233.05. The stock has delivered negative returns of over 14 percent in the last one year, but has gained by nearly 0.11 percent in a month.

According to the latest stock exchange filings, Rolls-Royce has entered into an agreement with Bharat Forge Limited to manufacture and supply fan blades for Rolls-Royce’s Pearl 700 and Pearl 10X engines. The partnership aligns with Rolls-Royce’s broader goal of doubling its supply chain sourcing from India by 2030.
The agreement was signed at Rolls-Royce’s Dahlewitz facility near Berlin, underscoring the deepening collaboration between the two firms and reaffirming Bharat Forge’s status as a trusted global supplier of precision-engineered aerospace components.
The Pearl 10X is the latest and most powerful addition to Rolls-Royce’s market-leading Pearl engine family, which powers some of the world’s largest, fastest, and longest-range business jets. Featuring the advanced Advance2 engine core – the most efficient in the business aviation sector – the Pearl 10X combines a high-performance low-pressure system with exceptional fuel efficiency, delivering over 18,000 pounds of thrust.
Rolls-Royce’s collaboration with Bharat Forge began in 2020 with the sourcing of components for the Pearl 700 programme. Since then, Bharat Forge has consistently demonstrated world-class quality and delivery standards, achieving a major milestone in 2024 by delivering its first zero-defect fan blade. The newly signed contract extends this collaboration to the Pearl 10X programme, expanding Bharat Forge’s role in supporting next-generation propulsion systems.

Bharat Forge reported a marginal decline in its revenue from operations, showing a year-on-year decrease of around 5 percent from Rs. 4,106 crores in Q1 FY25 to Rs. 3,909 crores in Q1 FY26. In contrast, its net profit increased during the same period from Rs. 175 crores to Rs. 284 crores, representing a significant growth of over 62 percent YoY.
In Q1 FY26, the company secured new orders worth Rs. 847 crore, including Rs. 269 crore from the defence sector. The defence order book stood at Rs. 9,463 crore over the same period.
