Synopsis: Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited (CGCEL) has been awarded a significant contract by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to supply over 3,500 solar water pumping systems. Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals (CGCEL) has secured a significant Rs. 71.75 crore contract under the PM-KUSUM-B scheme to provide off-grid solar water pumping solutions across rural Maharashtra. 

The project involves the end-to-end design, manufacture, and commissioning of 3,540 solar photovoltaic pumping systems, complete with a remote monitoring system and long-term maintenance support. 

With a swift execution timeline of 60 days, this order underscores Crompton’s strategic expansion into the renewable energy and agri-tech sectors, diversifying its portfolio beyond its core consumer lighting and fan segments.  

Following the MSEDCL solar pump order, Crompton Greaves (CROMPTON) shares reversed early losses to trade at Rs. 261.69 (+0.28%) Today. With 31.37 lakh shares traded, the stock continues its strong weekly recovery, delivering an 8.26% return as investors back the company’s expansion into sustainable infrastructure.
