Total sales of Ashok Leyland Ltd. rose 6% year-on-year to 24,060 units in March 2025, as against 22,736 units in the year-ago period, according to an exchange filing on Tuesday.

Sales of the commercial-vehicle unit of Eicher Motors Ltd. rose 7.6% year-on-year to 12,094 units in March 2025 as against 11,242 in the year-ago period, according to an exchange filing on Tuesday.

Total sales of TVS Motor Co. Ltd. rose 17% year-on-year to 414,687 units in March 2025, as against 354,592 units in March 2024, according to an exchange filing on Tuesday.

Atul Auto Sales Up 18% In March 2025

Sales of Atul Auto Ltd. rose 18.06% year-on-year to 3,693 units in March 2025, as against 3,128 units in the year-ago period. These include electric autorickshaws made by subsidiary Atul Greentech Pvt. Ltd.

For the full year, Atul Auto sales stood at 34,012 units in FY25 as against 26,039 units in FY24, registering a growth of 30.62% year-on-year.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. continued to sell more and more cars and tractors in March, indicating that outsized demand for oversized cars in the world’s third largest car market remains unabated.

“The company closed the year with 5,51,487 SUVs, the highest ever in its history, with a growth of 20% YoY,” according to a statement. “We also closed the year with the highest VAHAN registrations with 20% growth helping us to keep our dealer inventory levels within norms.”

Royal Enfield Sales Surge By More Than A Third In March

Sales of Royal Enfield motorcycles surged by more than a third in March 2025 as the Himalayan 450 model continued to gain traction among enthusiasts.

The Bullet maker sold a total of 1,01,021 units last month as against 75,551 units in the year-ago period—a growth of 34% year-on-year, according to an exchange filing on Tuesday.

While sales of the 350 cc motorcycles rose 32% year-on-year 87,312 units, those of a higher capacity up to 650 cc rose 49% to 13,709 units. Exports surged 36% to 12,971 units.
