  • Donald Trump announced that Armenia and Azerbaijan are set to sign a peace agreement at the White House.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a call from Brazilian President Lula, during which they discussed strengthening cooperation in areas such as trade, technology, energy, defence, agriculture, health, and people-to-people ties. 
  • PM Modi also recalled his recent visit to Brazil. The two leaders exchanged views on regional and global matters of mutual interest.

  • AU Small Finance Bank: The Reserve Bank of India has granted the company in-principle approval to transition into a universal bank.
  • Atul Ltd: The Board has approved the formation of a 50:50 joint venture with Buckman Laboratories, Singapore (a Buckman Group entity). As part of the arrangement, Atul will provide land, utilities, and site services.
  • Medi Assist Healthcare: The company has approved a preferential allotment of up to 37.01 lakh shares at Rs. 535 each, raising approximately Rs. 198 crore. The allotment is intended for Massachusetts Institute of Technology and 238 Plan Associates LLC, pending shareholder and regulatory approvals.
  • Zydus Lifesciences: The company has received its first No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Health Canada for ZDS-Varenicline tablets (0.5 mg and 1 mg), used to aid in smoking cessation.
  • Sangam (India) Ltd: The company is acquiring an operational manufacturing facility for Recycled Polyester Staple Fibre from Eminent Dealers, located in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, for up to Rs. 52.51 crore. The output from this unit will serve as raw material for Sangam’s other manufacturing operations.
  • C.E. Info Systems has approved a ₹25 crore investment to raise its stake in subsidiary Gtroppy Systems from 75.98% to 96%, with an option to acquire the remaining 4% in four years. It will also invest ₹25 crore in Zepto via CCPS at ₹33.25 per share, aiming to expand in the quick-commerce space.
  • Kolte Patil Developers: Its subsidiary, Kolte-Patil Lifespaces, has exited the partnership firm Amico Landmarks Realty where it held a 36% stake through a Deed of Retirement.
  • Tata Communications: The board has approved a private placement of 1 lakh NCDs, each with a face value of Rs. 1 lakh, raising Rs. 1,000 crore. These debentures carry a fixed coupon rate of 6.77% and mature in three years.
  • NIBE: The company has received new orders worth Rs. 29.22 crore from a domestic infrastructure and defence client for the supply of construction trackway details and breech casings.
  • Oil India: The company has signed an MoU with IREL in Mumbai to collaborate on the development of critical minerals.
  • The Ramco Cements: The board has approved the acquisition of an additional 28.5% stake in its subsidiary, Ramco Windfarms, for Rs. 28.5 lakh.
  • Pitti Engineering: The company has approved a Rs. 150 crore capital expenditure plan to expand its manufacturing capacities. This includes increasing sheet metal capacity from 90,000 MT to 108,000 MT, machining hours from 6.48 lakh to 7.20 lakh, and foundry capacity from 18,600 MT to 24,000 MT.
  • Aditya Birla Capital: The company raised Rs. 410 crore through a private placement of 41,000 unsecured, rated, and listed NCDs, each with a face value of Rs. 1 lakh, on August 7.
  • Piramal Pharma: A fire at a third-party warehouse in Annaram, Telangana, has impacted company inventory estimated to be worth Rs. 45 crore.
  • GAIL: The company and Hindustan Copper have signed a MoU to jointly explore and develop critical mineral resources.
  • Syrma SGS Technology: The company has approved a Qualified Institutional Placement to issue equity shares with a face value of Rs 10 each, aiming to raise Rs 1,000 crore from qualified institutional buyers. The floor price for issue is at Rs.735.61.
  • Biocon: The company has approved a plan to acquire a 26% stake in Pro-zeal Green Power Sixteen and enter into a Power Purchase Agreement with them to buy solar power from a captive off-site solar energy plant.
  • Mamata Machinery: The company gets its maiden export order for Rs 8.5 crore. The order is for a 9-layer blown film plant from a Latin American customer.
  • ArisInfra Solutions: The Company gets Rs 40 crore development management mandate from AVS Group in Mumbai.
