Oil Prices Fall As Traders Shift Focus To US Tariffs From Tensions In Middle East 

Oil prices declined Tuesday as traders focused on latest swath of tariff rates by the US. On Monday, prices advanced nearly 2% as attacks on Red Sea near Yemen raised concern over oil supply.

Brent’s September future contract was trading 0.60% down at $69.1 a barrel as of 7:46 a.m.

Asia Market Update: Trade Mixed After Trump Imposes Tariffs On Most Asian Trade Partners 

Markets in Asia-Pacific were trading on a mixed note after US President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on its Asian trade partners. The deadline for tariff was extended to Aug 1.

The Nikkei 225 and KOSPI were trading 0.04% and 0.83% higher, respectively as of 7:38 a.m. The S&P ASX 200 was 0.08% down.

US Market Update: Dow Jones And S&P 500 Futures Fall Slightly As Traders Assess Trump’s Latest Tariff Decisions 

Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 futures declined slightly on Tuesday in Asia trade session. Market participants now assessed the impact of the latest tariff announced by the US.

US extended the deadline to Aug 1 while it imposed 25% tariff on Japan and South Korea. Indonesia and Thailand are hit with 32% and 36% tariffs, respectively.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P Futures were trading 0.15% and 0.06% down, respectively as of 7:25 a.m.

GIFT Nifty Implies Flat Open; M&M, Lodha, Tata Motors Shares In Focus

The GIFT Nifty was trading flat at 25,475.50 as of 6:38 a.m., which implied a muted start for the benchmark Nifty 50 index.

Investors may focus on Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd., Titan Co. Ltd., and Macrotech Developers Ltd., and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. shares.

India’s benchmark indices ended flat on Monday. The NSE Nifty 50 ended 0.30 points flat at 25,461.30, while the BSE Sensex closed 9.61 points flat at 83.422.50.
