Synopsis: JD Cables Limited has shown strong performance in Q3 FY26, with revenue from operations rising to Rs. 119.84 Cr, nearly doubling from Rs. 61.77 Cr, driven by healthy order execution, steady inflows from State Electricity Boards, and higher utilisation across its manufacturing units.

The shares of this micro cap company  majorly engaged in the manufacturing of a wide range of cables and conductors used in power transmission and distribution, were in focus after its reported Q3FY26 updates with a revenue rise of 94 percent, receiving significant orders and more.

With the market capitalization of Rs. 476 Crores, the shares of JD Cables have reached an intraday high of Rs. 211.85  per share rising nearly 3 percent from its previous day close of Rs. 205.8 and is trading at a P/E of 20.2 whereas industry P/E stands at 19.6.

Q3 FY26 Business update 

During Q3 FY26, JD Cables reported revenue from operations of Rs. 119.84 crore, almost doubling from Rs. 61.77 crore in the same quarter last year, reflecting a 94 percent  year-on-year growth. For the nine months ended FY26, revenue stood at Rs. 241.10 crore, up 42.44 percent year-on-year, driven mainly by consistent orders from State Electricity Boards and better utilisation of its manufacturing facilities.

On the operational front, the company secured a landmark EPC infrastructure order worth Rs. 243.99 crore related to the NH-2 six-laning project in Jharkhand, marking a key step in expanding beyond cable supply into EPC execution. It also won an Rs. 8.81 crore order for supplying aerial bunched and LT cables across Bihar and Jharkhand. 

Also to support future growth, JD Cables acquired land and building in Dankuni, West Bengal, for capacity expansion and new product lines, and received an Electrical Contractor License valid for five years, enabling it to bid for and execute government and private EPC electrical projects. Together, these developments strengthen the company’s growth outlook and execution capability going ahead.

Financials

JD Cables Limited is majorly engaged in manufacturing of a comprehensive range of wires, cables and conductors, indicating Power Cables, Control Cables, Aerial Branched Cables and many more which are used in power transmission and distribution networks. The company is an approved vendor for multiple state electricity boards and has a strong supply footprint across Assam, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Manipur, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh etc. 

As on September 30, 2025 JD Cables has maintained a strong order book of Rs. 286 crores and acquired a new industrial facility at Dankuni to scale its manufacturing capacity.. With its presence in over 12 states, the company has two product segments and 2 manufacturing units with  an installed capacity of 6000 Kms for Unit I and 22,000 Kms for Unit II. Cables and wires are the majority revenue contributors for the company generating 80.68 percent of the total whereas aluminium conductors contributed 19.31 percent. 

Year on Year analysis: Revenue from operations has increased from Rs. 107 Crores to Rs. 121 Crores, up 13 percent. Operating profit has increased from Rs. 15 Crores to Rs. 19 Crores, up 26.6  percent and net profit has increased from Rs. 10 Crores to Rs. 12 Crores, up 20 percent . 

Half Yearly analysis: Revenue from operations has decreased on a half yearly basis from Rs. 143 Crores to Rs. 121 Crores, down 15  percent. Operating profit and Net profit remained unchanged at Rs. 19 Crores and 12 Crores respectively.
