Shakti Pumps (India) Limited received a significant order from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The order pertains to the supply and installation of 12,883 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP, under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM Kusum B Scheme for the entire state of Maharashtra.
The total contract value, including GST, is approximately Rs. 356.77 Crores, with execution expected within 60 days from the issuance of the Work Order or Notice to Proceed (NTP).
The scope of the order includes design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar water pumping systems. The contract is awarded domestically, and Shakti Pumps has confirmed that neither the promoter nor any promoter group or group companies has any interest in the entity awarding the contract. The order is to be executed at arm’s length, following standard commercial and legal norms.
This order is a significant milestone for Shakti Pumps, reflecting the company’s capability to secure large-scale government projects in the renewable energy segment, particularly in solar-based agricultural solutions.
